Under the slogan "Thank You, Khalifa"

Ajman University to Celebrate Class of 2014.

To celebrate its 10th batch of students to graduate under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and as a humble gesture of admiration and reverence for the UAE’s beloved leader, Ajman University of Science & Technology will name this year’s graduation ceremony the Thank You Khalifa Class.

Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice-President of AUST explained that the idea of dedicating this year’s graduation ceremony to Sheikh Khalifa is a gesture to express “our gratitude and appreciation to His Highness. The students and the entire nation have witnessed the peak of achievements during his leadership” said AUST Vice President, adding, “the country has taken huge leaps of development which resulted in this unprecedented state of well-being and prosperity for our nation.”

The people of the UAE are today ranked amongst the happiest peoples of the world because of His Highness’s love and care towards them.  Mr. Salman shed light upon the transformation of the education landscape during His Highness’s leadership. “Education has gained a special momentum, based on the comprehensive vision and the firm belief that primary education and higher education are the very basis of progress that can guide the next generations towards a better future.” As a higher education institution, Ajman University has been a vanguard of quality higher education in the region. Graduating nearly 23 batches, organizing major academic and scientific conferences and symposiums, and sponsoring nation-centered research efforts.

AUST 25 years have been marked with numerous achievements and the last decade under H.H. Khalifa’s leadership has propelled the motivation of the nation to greater heights. Ajman University ensured that the students are at the forefront of this transformation in the educational sector. “Our students are motivated by the uplifting spirit of our leadership and AUST is making sure they benefit the most from the various initiatives offered by our nation to the people.” Remarked Mr. Salman.

AUST Commencement 2014 in Ajman Campus will take place on Tuesday, 14th October, and Wednesday, 15th October for male and female graduates respectively. While the ceremony for Fujairah Campus will be held on Tuesday, 21st October and Wednesday, 22nd October for males and females respectively.

The “Thank You, Khalifa” batch will include around 1540 graduates from AUST in Ajman and 560 from AUST in Fujairah, bringing the total number of alumni since AUST’s inception in 1988 to 28.882 graduates!
