About Dubai Metro
The Dubai Metro is the world's longest fully automated driverless metro network. Launched on 9 September 2009, it has transformed public transportation in Dubai, connecting key residential, commercial, and tourist areas across the city.
The metro system consists of two lines — the Red Line and the Green Line — which together span over 75 kilometres with 53 stations. Both lines operate from early morning until midnight, with extended hours on weekends.
Dubai Metro is operated by Keolis MHI under the brand name RTA (Roads and Transport Authority). The system carries over 200 million passengers annually and is a cornerstone of Dubai's public transport network.

Red Line
29 stations spanning 52.1 km from Centrepoint (Rashidiya) to UAE Exchange (Jebel Ali). Covers major attractions including Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, and Dubai Marina.
Green Line
24 stations spanning 22.5 km from Etisalat to Creek. Serves historic areas including Deira, Bur Dubai, Dubai Healthcare City, and the Gold Souk.

What is the cost of Dubai Metro?

Where can I buy a Nol Card?
Nol cards are available at all metro stations from ticket offices and vending machines, as well as at RTA customer happiness centres, bus stations, and select supermarkets and convenience stores across Dubai.
Can I take luggage on the metro?
Yes, you can carry luggage on the metro. However, there are size restrictions — each passenger is allowed bags not exceeding 81cm x 58cm x 30cm. Large or bulky items are not permitted.
Is there parking at metro stations?

Are there interchange stations?
Yes, Union and BurJuman stations serve as interchange points between the Red Line and Green Line. You can transfer between lines at these stations without additional fare.
