Abu Dhabi Emergency Team Holds its 5th Meeting

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - July 7th 2013 [ME NewsWire]: The Emergency, Crises and Disaster team today held its fifth meeting this year in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. The meeting was headed by Major General Staff Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, deputy commander-in-chief of Abu Dhabi Police, and head of the team.

A number of topics were discussed including the general framework of the nuclear emergency response plan for the periphery of the Braka Nuclear Power Plant, as well as the peripheral safety requirements of the plant and how to enhance precautionary procedures.

The meeting was attended by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, Deputy Head of the team; Majed Al Mansouri, Head of the Municipal Affairs Department; Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council; Mohammad Khalfan Al Rumeithi, Head of the National Authority of Crises and Disaster Management; and a number of officials.
