To donate over 500 Bombay Chowpatty meal boxes
Dubai, July 7, 2013: LTC Food Division, a leading FMCG distribution company in the UAE, and a subsidiary of Lal's Group of Companies, will begin the holy month of Ramadan by offering 500 meal boxes to the labour camps in the Al Quoz industrial area. This initiative is to lift up the spirit of the labourers during the holy month.
This CSR activity by LTC Food Division is in conjunction with ‘Take My Junk' and aims at providing wholesome and nutritious meals for the underprivileged labourers while they break their fast.
Speaking about the noble initiative, Mr. Harish Bhojwani, Director, LTC Food Division said, “We are pleased to announce our CSR activity where we are providing Bombay Chowpatty meal boxes to the labourers on the first day of Ramadan to help break their fast. The meal boxes will include a number of edible items like dates, fruit, water, juice, chicken or mutton biryani, vegetables, salad, yoghurt and desert. The aim of this initiative is to participate in the spirit of holy month for Muslims and to be able to serve the less fortunate in the UAE.”
He further said, “We would like to make this a yearly initiative going forward. It is something that the labourers here look forward to receiving. It might seem like small things to most people, but in this way we can make a big difference to the daily lives of these men.”
The meal boxes have been arranged by Bombay Chowpatty present in Lamcy Plaza and Arabian Center.
