Sub: Admission @ Rs. 5 lakhs for 50 students for MBBS
Dear Hon Health Minister,
I understand that many students who underwent counseling with good merit are unable to join due to last minute increase in fees from Rs 5 lakhs to Rs. 11 lakhs. This is very unfortunate as it came as a shock in the last‐minute shattering their dreams. I saw them on the verge of tears while watching media and feel sad.
This is to inform you that Dr Moopen’s Foundation has decided to offer admission to 50 such students this year at fees of Rs 5 lakhs at DM WIMS Medical College, Wayanad. This benefit will be available to 50 students of this batch for the entire 5‐year period of their course. The impact of this concession shall be funded by the Trust, if the higher fee mandated by the Hon Supreme Court is implemented.
I hope this will help these 50 meritorious students to fulfill their life ambition of becoming doctors. It will also alleviate the anxiety of the parents who are running from pillar to post to get mandated Rs 6 lakhs bank guarantee.
Request you to inform the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and others concerned to inform and allot the meritorious students who have dropped out to avail this opportunity
Yours sincerely,
Dr Azad Moopen
Managing Trustee
