Dubai, 2 July 2019: Ibn Battuta Mall is warming up to host the second edition of the Cigna Park Run - a series of free, timed runs and walks to encourage fitness during the summer -- following an overwhelmingly successful first event last month.
More than 500 people took part in the inaugural event at Ibn Battuta Mall on 15 June, with participants of all ages and from all walks of life running through the world’s largest themed mall in air-conditioned comfort.
The next run is on 6 July, with three more editions planned until October.
Held in association with RaceME, the region’s leading sports event company, the run starts at 8.30 am at China Court with a warm-up session by Fitness First, followed by a walk, jog or sprint over a distance of 2.5 km or 5 km to cover all six travel-themed courts of Ibn Battuta Mall: China, India, Persia, Egypt, Tunisia and Andalusia.
Participants will also receive a free gym bag from Skechers, while Verdura restaurant is offering a healthy Mediterranean breakfast for AED45 per person or AED75 for two to refuel after the run from 10 am to 12 noon (all prices include VAT).
Boost your summer fitness regime; book your free spot for the Cigna Park Run at Ibn Battuta Mall by registering via www.raceme.ae/battutarun. Participants must bring water, a towel and running shoes.
Ibn Battuta Mall is easily accessible by Dubai Metro. Ample parking is also available near China Court main entrance, which is closest to the starting point.
