UAE's leading supermarket chain Choithrams gets BSI's HACCP certification

- The certificate is the highest standard for food safety and hygiene for all 40 stores across the UAE.
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 09 MAY, 2019: Retail giant Choithrams achieved another milestone as they received a certification for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standard awarded by the British Standards Institution (BSI), one of the leading certification bodies that helps organisations all over the World make excellence a habit.
In a small ceremony held at their outlet in Green Community, the certification was awarded by Theuns Kotze, Managing Director, BSI Middle East and Africa, to Rajiv Warrier, CEO, Choithrams.
On this occasion, Warrier, said, “At Choithrams, we are continuously working on attaining the best and highest standards for all our outlets. Our teams concentrate on the compliance and maintain the best practices in food safety. This is our way of giving back for the faith our customers have in us.”
He added, “Food safety is not an option but a requirement to keep customers happy, safe and maintain and improve the market share.”
Agreeing with him, Kotze said, “Staying committed to providing one and all the best and safest food products reflects Choithrams’ continuous efforts to maintain operational excellence and customer satisfaction.”
The HACCP certification confirms the compliance of all 40 stores of Choithrams across the UAE to be meeting international standards on quality and food safety.
