South African Bianca O'Donoghue wins Danube Properties' dream home through Dubai Home Festival raffle draw

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of Dubai Tourism, and Danube Properties held a raffle draw at Danube Properties Head Office to pick a lucky winner to win a studio apartment in Starz project by Danube Properties

Bianca O’Donoghue, a 31-year-old South African resident of Dubai, yesterday won a fully-furnished studio apartment at the Starz project recently completed by Danube Properties.
 
Bianca O’Donoghue will receive the key to a brand new, fully-furnished apartment, thanks to Danube Properties and other partners of the just-concluded two-week Dubai Home Festival.
 
Her name was picked up from amongst 300,000 raffle coupons of the Dubai Home Festival Mega Raffle Draw by officials of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), flanked by Mr Atif Rahman, Director and Partner of Danube Properties.
 
“Oh my God!” was her first reaction. “I first thought it was a trick – too good to believe,” she said, when she was informed of the win by an official of the DFRE.
 
“Then I remembered about the raffle coupon that I was offered by the shop assistant when I purchased home furnishings at the Home Centre. I had lots of coupon – as I purchased a lot that day. So, that reminded me that this call might be real, and I might have won the prize!”
 
Bianca, a housewife never bought properties in Dubai as her husband owns a few properties in Dubai, already.
 
“However, this is going to be mine and I will bring someone special from my family to stay in it. I will not rent it, neither will I sell it. I am so happy,” Bianca O’Donoghue said.
 
Danube Properties recently completed the Dh300 million Starz Project that hosts 454 apartments. It will soon start handing over the apartments to home owners. Starz is Danube Properties’ fifth project among 12 properties launched so far with a portfolio value exceeding Dh3.8 billion involving 5,019 apartments and townhouses.

The raffle draw is part of the Dubai Home Festival that took place between April 18 and May 1, 2019. Danube Properties, Rakbank and Mastercard partnered with Dubai Home Festival to offer a fully-furnished studio apartment in Starz by Danube Properties as the top prize for shoppers spending at least Dh500 at the participating home stores across 150 outlets during the festival.
