Increased Efficiency and Durability are Key Foundations of LG’s Latest Home Appliances
Dubai, UAE, April 30, 2019: As a pioneer in developing innovative home appliances, LG Electronics (LG) is committed to engineering new ways of helping people live with greater convenience, without compromising on the environment.
Many governments across the region and globally are investing heavily in smart and efficient solutions to help achieve their sustainable goals. In the UAE, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) recently announced that the Emirate has saved approximately AED 1.2 billion in water and electricity consumption between 2008-2018. In Sharjah, a Sustainable City project has also been unveiled, which will produce its own electricity and recycle water and waste, in addition to growing crops and providing electric modes of transportation. Once built, Sharjah's Sustainable City will offer residents up to 100 percent savings on electricity and 50 percent savings on water bills.
Whilst there are great strides being made to champion sustainability, changes also need to be made to residential and office units to help the UAE achieve its objectives of a smarter and more environmentally-friendly future. By equipping homes and workplaces with electronics and appliances that are highly productive and efficient, communities can reduce consumption costs and their impact on the natural environment.
“At LG, our key focus is to develop superior appliances and products that are not only productive and efficient, but also stand the test of time,” said Mr. James Lee, President LG Electronics Middle East and Africa. “Investing in quality products that help save time, energy and resources should be a top priority for homeowners – not only saving money and adding convenience, but also helping governments achieve their own sustainable objectives for greater prosperity and quality of life.”
LG has developed a variety of products and solutions built with sustainability in mind, many of which were recently showcased at LG InnoFest MEA 2019 in Seoul, Korea.
LG’s new top-loader and front-loader washing machines use deep learning to understand a user’s habits and work more effectively. LG’s new top-loader washer uses TurboWash™ to cut cycle lengths to approximately 39 minutes, while also reducing energy and water consumption. The new LG front-loader machine features TWINWash technology – washing two loads of laundry at once. Homeowners can even use the mini-washer independently to wash smaller loads with less water.
For the kitchen, LG displayed its Slim French Door refrigerators, with innovative Linear Cooling™ and DoorCooling+™ technologies to help food stay fresher for longer. In addition to minimizing waste, LG’s Slim French Door refrigerators use advanced Invertor Linear Compressors to help reduce energy consumption and come backed by a 10-year warranty.
Also on display at InnoFest MEA were the new Split Air and Floor Standing DUALCOOL air conditioners. Each harnessing LG’s advanced DUAL Inverter Compressor technology, the air conditioning units boast high-performance cooling. Optimized design structures enable DUALCOOL air conditioners to circulate air efficiently around the room, whilst providing a greater level of comfort.
Many of LG’s latest appliances can also be controlled via the LG SmartThinQ mobile application. Now, even if someone leaves the home in a rush and forgets to turn on the washing machine or switch off the air conditioning unit, they can operate their devices from wherever they may be.
