Dubai, UAE, 22 July 2026- Recent data released by the Digital Knowledge Hub (DKH) an initiative of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF), and the leading digital platform for preserving and disseminating Arabic content and providing trusted knowledge resources that facilitate access to information in line with international standards reveals remarkable expansion of its digital knowledge content, driven by growth in users worldwide and notably the Arab world.
Expanding Global Reach and Sustained Growth Across the Arab World
The data further reveals how DKH continues to strengthen its presence both regionally and globally, as its digital services reach an expansive audience base across a growing number of regional and international markets. Among these, East Asian countries led by China and Singapore emerged as the fastest-growing international markets in terms of engagement with DKH’s content and digital services, highlighting its growing footprint beyond the Arab world.
Regionally, DKH has further consolidated its position through the continued expansion of its user base in several countries, including Algeria, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco. This reflects the growing reach of its digital knowledge content, as well as its pivotal role in the advancement of Arab knowledge, reinforcing the Hub’s position as a leading knowledge platform serving diverse audiences across the region and beyond.
Youth’s Role in Shaping Digital Landscape
DKH's demographic data shows that users aged between 18-24 constitute the platform’s largest user segment, followed by those between the ages of 25-34 and 35-44. Users aged 18–24 make up approximately 41 per cent of all users based on demographic data available, compared to around 28 per cent for those aged 25-34 and 20 per cent for the 35-44 age group, confirming that young people consume digital knowledge content the most. The 18-24 age group also recorded the highest engagement rate among all demographic segments at 69.7 per cent.
These indicators reflect DKH's growing prominence as one of the Arab world's leading knowledge platforms amid increasing reliance on digital solutions to make knowledge more accessible, as well as expand access to learning resources and scientific research, aligning with broader efforts to build a knowledge-based society at both regional and global levels.
Comparable Engagement Levels Among Male and Female Users
Data on gender distribution shows that males account for 57.7 per cent of total users, compared to 42.3 per cent for females. Despite this difference in the number of users, engagement indicators remain closely comparable across both groups, with females recording an engagement rate of 65.69 per cent, slightly higher than the 65.36 per cent recorded among males. This points to similar levels of engagement, while also showing consistent quality of user experience across both genders.
Over 38.7 million Digital Materials Across Diverse Knowledge Fields
DKH continues to enrich its content offerings through its expansive digital library featuring more than 38.7 million digital materials, in addition to over 2.5 million titles spanning a wide range of disciplines, including heritage references, modern intellectual works, and specialized academic resources.
This diverse collection reflects the Hub’s commitment to nurturing a comprehensive knowledge ecosystem that caters to the needs of researchers, students, and readers by offering trusted sources that combine the authenticity of heritage with the advancements of modern scientific and intellectual methodologies.
Comprehensive Knowledge Ecosystem
DKH provides a comprehensive ecosystem comprising three main portals: the ‘Reader General Portal’, which caters to readers across various fields; the ‘Researchers Portal’, which provides access to academic studies and scholarly resources; and the ‘Children and Students Portal’, featuring books, stories, and knowledge content tailored for younger audiences.
The Hub also has several specialized libraries, most notably the Arab Library, which focuses on Arab and Islamic heritage, offering categorized content across ten key knowledge domains – bibliography, philosophy, religion, social sciences, languages, pure and applied sciences, arts, geography, and history. This further consolidates DKH’s position as an integrated digital knowledge platform designed to facilitate knowledge access and dissemination across the Arab world and globally, while also promoting scientific research.
