HBMSU hosts a Roundtable Discussion on Innovation, Disruption, & Transformation

UAE, February 27, 2018 - Innovation Arabia 11 organizing committee conducted a roundtable discussion about the agenda of the conference that is held under the theme “Innovate, Disrupt, and Transform” at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University in Dubai. Innovation Arabia 11 is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU), and it will take place from 11 – 13 March 2018 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The roundtable discussion was headed by Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University-HBMSU and the Chairman of the Conference’s Higher Committee and Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding and the Executive Chairman of ‘Innovation Arabia’, and it was attended by a number of speakers, innovators, decision makers, leaders in various industries, and members of the media.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Mansoor Al Awar said: “Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and President of the University, the Innovation Arabia conference will be held under the theme, “Innovate, Disrupt, and Transform” during its eleventh edition. The conference continues to be a strategic platform to support national efforts aimed at allowing innovation to take root in UAE’s culture, working environment and as a central tool for building integrated economies based on knowledge, sustainability and creativity. The roundtable meeting was very promising, bringing together top-level partners and sponsors from both the public and private sectors and civil and international organizations under one roof to discuss and brainstorm creative and latest ideas in preparation for future Innovation Arabia and increase the level of excellence in future editions.

Innovation Arabia 11 will present a platform to discuss key topics, debate issues of strategic relevance to the Arab World, present innovative ideas and share best practices. It attracts a wide array of academics, decision makers, professionals, industry experts, and innovators from the region and the world.

Innovation Arabia 11 will feature specialized discussions on 4 parallel tracks this year that will include ‘Quality and Business Management’, ‘Health and Environment’, ‘Smart Learning’ and ‘Islamic Banking and Finance’. The conference agenda will include 32 sessions, 4 workshops, 45 poster presentations and it will witness the participation of 13 keynote speakers from the region and the world.
