“On the UAE Martyrs’ Day, we stand with pride to mark the great battles that the UAE armed forces have faced in the fields of honor and glory, raising the banner of loyalty as we commemorate our martyrs who sacrificed their blood. Our martyrs are paving the way for a radiant future for the UAE and for the whole world. Our commemoration of this dear occasion is a genuine expression of honor towards the sacrifices of our citizens, who have redefined the meaning of courage, loyalty, and sacrifice, emphasising that we will never forget those who gave up their lives defending our nation and its glory and upholding the truth. Our martyrs are quickly becoming national icons worthy of emulation.
The Martyrs’ Day emphasises the strength, unity, and solidarity of our people and their genuine desire to answer the call of the leadership and the entire nation without hesitation. Finally, I would like to express our pride, and to offer our condolences to the families of the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives so that UAE honor and pride will continue to live in our hearts and minds. We are committed to immortalising them in our hearts and memories as sources of strength, determination, and the will to continue defending our Union, as stated by our late father H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who said: "We are committed to defending the oppressed and the legitimacy of government under a wise leadership that places the support of our brothers on top of our priorities."
