Founder and CEO Vandana Gandhi receives Inspirational Female Leader Award; Nursery bags awards under SME and Education sector
May 14, 2017; Dubai, UAE: In yet another outstanding achievement, UAE’s British Orchard Nursery wins 3 coveted awards at Dubai’s 3rd International Business Excellence (IBX) Awards. Despite facing tough competition from over 100 organizations both local and international, the prestigious nursery which completed a decade this year has proved its worth again. While the founder and owner Vandana Gandhi received the honour of Inspirational Female Leader, the nursery itself has bagged two awards one under SME category and another in the education sector.
Vandana Gandhi, CEO and Founder of British Orchard Nursery commented: “Winning three awards at such a prestigious international forum is indeed a huge achievement and I am grateful and humbled at this honour. The awards speak of our success as an educational institution, as well as a well-run enterprise that has provided superior customer service and wholesome teaching to the thousands of children under our care. We are proud to be part of a culture that promotes quality education and instill the love of learning in a fun setting. Over the years, British Orchard Nursery has promoted various innovative measures to further improve the academic standard at pre-school level starting from creative teaching techniques to training teachers across the UAE. I would also like to thank the UAE rulers and the UAE government for their unstinting support in this endeavor”.
The IBX Awards have quickly evolved into Dubai’s leading international business event, with hundreds of companies from over 20 countries, spanning four continents taking part. Each year the awards offer UAE firms the chance to compete with the best in the world. Dubai Economic Department have supported the awards through a strategic partnership since the start, helping promote Dubai’s reputation as a centre of business excellence. The IBX Awards are part of a global programme of business recognition designed by Awards International, based on a fully transparent judging process certified by Cranfield University. To win either of the 24 categories, entrants must score the highest by a panel of judges made up of local and international business leaders, first for their written entry, then for their finalist presentation.
Mark Hamill, MD, Awards International, said: “Our vision was to create a level playing field for UAE firms to compete with international brands for global recognition. As well as showcasing local talent, we’ve also seen a record number of international firms enter this year, making these our most competitive IBX Awards to date – so our winners have had to work extra hard to finish ahead of the field. We hope the recognition they receive today unlocks new opportunities and helps them go on to do even better things. We thank all our entrants, sponsors and especially Dubai Economy for helping us host such a crucial global business event in Dubai.”
