Papa, Smurfette, Vanity and Brainy Smurf ring in Global Smurfs Day in the city, while prepping for their future home at MOTIONGATE™Dubai, part of Dubai Parks and Resorts

Dubai, UAE, June 21, 2016:  Dubai has been ‘Smurfed’ by the official arrival of four loveable Smurfs: Papa, Smurfette, Brainy and Vanity who recently landed in the city of their future mushroom-capped home in MOTIONGATE™ Dubai the action-packed Hollywood-inspired theme park, part of the wider Dubai Parks and Resorts. Adding to the festivities, the little blue friends are celebrating Global Smurfs Day (June 25th) in advance with a sneak peek of Smurfs Village, one of five themed Zones at MOTIONGATE™ Dubai.

This October, Smurfs Village Zone will breathe life as the largest Smurfs-inspired theme park area in the world. Parents and kids will feel immediately charmed walking alongside larger-than-life mushroom capped houses, lush forested surroundings and embracing the infectious charm of the resident Smurfs while exploring rides, live shows, play areas, dining and more.

In total, there are five family-friendly rides and attractions including: Smurfs Studios Tour, an interactive ride which takes guests behind the scenes of the Smurfs movie set; Smurfs Village Playhouse, a one-of-a-kind theatre show where kids can interact with an animated Smurf; SmurfBerry Factory, a soft-play area filled with foam Smurfberries; Woodland Play Park, an outdoor adventure play area and Smurf Village Express, the perfect first-time roller coaster for young ones. Finally, keep your eyes out for local residents Papa, Smurfette, Brainy and Vanity as they parade the village, spreading Smurfy cheers to fans while posing for keepsake photos.
