Virtual Reality wearables recognized as number one in the 50 Wearable Tech Gamechangers of 2016 with HTC Vive recognised as a 2016 favourite
Dubai, UAE, December 28, 2015: HTC Vive has been recognised as a wearable favourite for 2016 by Wearable, the only dedicated site to wearable technology and the connected self, in its 50 Wearable Tech Gamechangers of 2016 predictions. While the publication has recognised virtual reality as the number one game changer, HTC Vive was named a firm favourite and tops the #wearable50 list.
We aim to offer the most immersive experience of any VR headset with HTC Vive, plunging people into other worlds at a moment’s notice. Due to 360-degree room scale tracking, Vive allows the consumer to walk around and explore virtual surroundings, inspect objects from all angles and have a truly interactive experience. Additionally, we are introducing a Universal VR Controller that will work seamlessly with the headset and new HTC Laser Lighthouses, as it tracks the most subtle hand movements.
“Technology is transforming the human experience, and as we all move into a more digitized environment that hinges on mobility and connectivity, virtual reality has evolved befittingly. Our aim at HTC is to completely transform the way in which consumers interact with technology and the world around them. HTC Vive combines the world’s most immersive, breath-taking VR experience with HTC’s world-renowned design, setting a new industry standard in this nascent industry,” said Neeraj Seth, Head of Marketing, HTC MEA. “As a company committed to being the game changers with our pioneering technologies and innovative design all we have to say is bring on 2016 – the best is yet to come!”
Co-developed by HTC and Valve, the Vive can render two screens at the resolution of 1,200 by 1,080 pixel screen in front of each eye, with refresh rates of a blistering 90 frames per second, displays photorealistic imagery that fills your field of vision in all directions, eliminating the jitter common to previous VR technologies and transporting you to another world.
