Alfardan Group – Automotive Operations concludes successful participation in 24th ITMA Congress

November 21, 2015: Alfardan Group - Automotive Operations recently concluded its successful participation as Gold Sponsor of the 24th World Congress of the International Traffic Medicine Association (ITMA) held from 16th to 18th November in Doha, Qatar. Alfardan Automobiles and Alfardan Premier Motors represented Alfardan Group at the Congress, showcasing the conglomerate’s steadfast commitment to initiatives that aim to make a positive impact on society and help ensure the safety of the people. In line with their presence at the event, Alfardan Group was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by the organizers for their valuable contribution, sponsorship and support of the Conference.
The award was received by Fahad Alfardan, Executive Director of Alfardan Group, during a gala dinner organized at the Sheraton Doha Hotel as part of the conference’s activities. The certificate of appreciation was presented to Alfardan Group by Brig. Engineer Muhammad Abdullah Al Maliki, Secretary of the National Traffic Safety Committee and Chairman of the Organizing Committee.

The ITMA Congress was held for the first time in the Middle East and was organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee, in collaboration with other relevant departments. It featured comprehensive discussions on different aspects of traffic medicine and traffic safety including integrated health care services, rescue services and security measures. The event also included forums on legal and educational programs that were developed to be integrated into the traffic medicine system. As part of their participation in the Congress, Alfardan Automobiles showcased the BMW 740Li model while Alfardan Premier Motors displayed the Jaguar XJ - two of the latest models from the luxury brands distributed by the automotive subsidiaries. Delegates to the congress included notable medical doctors, physiologists, psychologists, traffic safety experts, vehicle designers and manufacturers, engineers, policy makers, police officers, and insurance experts from all over the world.
