Dubai, August 03, 2026: Zoho Corp., a leading global technology company, announced the launch of its point-of-sale software solution, Zoho POS, across all its key markets in the GCC region, including the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait, following its earlier launch in Saudi Arabia at the end of 2025.
“Retailers across the Gulf region are rapidly modernising operations to meet the evolving customer expectations and regulatory requirements. Zoho POS is designed to provide retailers with a compliant and locally relevant solution to help them streamline billing, inventory, customer experience and omnichannel operations,” said Hyther Nizam, Chief Executive Officer, Middle East and Africa (MEA), Zoho. “Zoho remains committed to empowering businesses across the region with tools they need to thrive in today’s competitive digital economy,” Nizam added.
Designed for retail stores, Zoho POS is a modern VAT-compliant point-of-sale solution that enables retailers to streamline day-to-day operations and enable omnichannel management from a single unified platform. This new solution comes as retailers in the region seek out digital tools that support omnichannel operations, regulatory compliances, and enhanced customer experiences. With its fast implementation and user-friendly interface, Zoho POS allows businesses to get started within hours and requires minimum technical training for personnel.
Zoho POS includes a native billing application available on macOS and Windows, with offline functionality to ensure uninterrupted operations during connectivity disruptions. During peak shopping periods, retailers can also use the mobile POS billing app available on the Google Play and App Store, to run parallel checkout counters or enable self-checkout and reduce customer wait times.
The web-based application offers powerful features for inventory management, customer and vendor records, transaction tracking, and real-time business insights through reports for business functions such as purchases, payments, receivables. This enables merchants to manage back office operations. The solution is compatible with major billing peripherals including barcode scanners, weighing scales, printers, cash drawers, customer pole displays, and payment terminals from widely used hardware brands.
Zoho POS provides a complete Arabic interface with right-to-left (RTL) support and the ability to print invoices in Arabic. The solution also supports VAT compliance requirements across applicable GCC markets through configurable regional tax settings.
With functionalities such as price management (currently available in early access), loyalty programs and offer management (currently available in early access), businesses can retain customers and drive repeat purchases. User roles and permissions in the platform provide greater control to the store owner and ensure the right access level is given to the right user across the organization.
Zoho POS integrates seamlessly with Zoho Books for accounting and supports additional third-party integrations through custom workflows, webhooks, Zoho Flow, and Zapier. Additionally, it integrates with AfterShip, UPS, USPS, and EasyShip for shipping, Shopify and Zoho Commerce for e-commerce, Zoho Books for accounting, and WhatsApp and Twilio customer and vendor communication. The platform has been available in general access and is now being officially announced to the region.
The platform adheres to globally recognised security and business continuity standards, including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 27018, ISO 9001, AICPA SOC 2 Type II, and ISO 22301 certifications. Regionally, the platform is DESC certified in the UAE and CST registered in Saudi Arabia.
