EMC's first quarter Mercedes-Benz sales 25% higher than year before

Model with highest sales in Q1 2015 is the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class with 332% rise!l

Abu Dhabi, Monday, 27 April 2015:- With the launch of the high performance sporty Mercedes AMG GT S and the luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S 600, Emirates Motor Company (EMC) – the Mercedes-Benz authorized distributor in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the flagship company of Al Fahim Group – had a positive start to 2015 achieving a healthy growth in vehicles sales of 25% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year.

Mr. Kamal Rafih, General Manager of EMC said, “Last year, we launched a range of all-new vehicles and, we are now witnessing their success in the premium market. Take the new C-Class 2015; besides being Car of the World and our most popular model this year, it sales continue to grow from one month to the other. CLS is enjoying a 70% growth in the first quarter compared to the same period last year; and, the sporty A-Class recording an upsurge of 24%.”

After launching the S-Class Coupe late last year, EMC launched the high-performing Mercedes AMG GT S, as well as the long-awaited and fabulously luxurious Mercedes-Maybach S-600 in 2015. Both models have been well-received by customers and orders are already presold until late this year. Moreover, new Mercedes-Benz sports utility vehicle (SUV) classes are expected to arrive to the UAE in the last quarter of the year, such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe and GLC.

“The first three months have been excellent for the SUV group, where an 11% rise was recorded owing to the grand, seven-seater Mercedes-Benz GL and the elegant ML. Reaching 37% increase, the GL gained more admirers, while the ML achieved a 31% growth in sales compared to last year,” continued Mr. Rafih.

Looking ahead, EMC will be launching the new generation of Mercedes-Benz compact cars in select universities across the emirate this May. These models will include the eye-catching new crossover, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and the striking CLA.
