Last Update: Saturday, June 13, 2026 : 09:56 (+4GMT)
UAE: The Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone has launched its new Company Continuation Programme, offering businesses a more flexible and cost-effective pathway for growth. The initiative enables existing companies to relocate their operations to UAQ FTZ while retaining their business history, brand identity, contractual obligations, and corporate legacy. The programme is available to foreign companies, UAE mainland businesses, and companies operating in other free zones. One of its key advantages is that businesses can benefit from a new operating environment without the need to re-register the company or establish a new legal entity.
By transitioning to UAQ FTZ, companies can reduce operational costs, get the cooperative tax benefits ,streamline administrative processes, and access enhanced business opportunities within the UAE. “A company’s history and credibility, built over years of hard work, are among its greatest assets. The Company Continuation Programme allows businesses to preserve that strength while taking advantage of new opportunities for growth and expansion,” said Johnson M. George, General Manager of UAQ FTZ. The launch of this programme reflects UAQ FTZ’s ongoing commitment to supporting entrepreneurs and businesses through business-friendly policies, innovative services, and a dynamic environment that fosters sustainable growth and success.
