Dubai: Jan 11, 2015; The Dubai Courts has launched “A’won” (assistance) initiative to provide volunteer experts of ordinary individuals to support the litigants suffering financial trouble with their experience. The initiative comes to enhance the trust in the judicial system locally and internationally, and highlights role of the courts and experts in the area of community-based services.
Expert / Tarish Eid Al Mansouri, Director-General of Dubai Courts, said that launch of A’won initiative comes in line with vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai to make the litigants happy through providing them with services that would raise their happiness indicator. He stressed the need to provide hassle-free services for any who deal with the Dubai Court.
The Dubai Courts seeks through the initiative to help the litigants who can not afford fees of experts for the cases they file with the court, he said. It also aims at facilitating the procedures of litigation for the customers who are unable to pay the fees and activating spirit of volunteering work of the experts, in addition to enhancing the partnership between the courts and the experts offices, Tarish added.
The experts would provide their services for the litigants in two paths, according to the type of the case and the mission assigned to them. The services will be free or in return for money to be paid after finishing procedures of litigation with a final verdict and starting the implementation. This initiative covers all litigants in labour, personal status, commercial, civil and real estate cases.
The section of experts and arbitrators affairs at the cases service department of Dubai Courts will oversee A’won initiative in cooperation with all enrolled in the roster of experts of Dubai Courts, which is available to all experts enrolled in the courts for volunteering and to offer their services through this initiative.
