Japanese Consul General visits Al Maya Supermarkets, Almaya Group welcomes new Consul General of Japan, Dubai

Al Maya Group, a leading business conglomerate in the UAE, is keen to expand its products portfolio from Japan.
This was disclosed by Group Director of Al Maya Group Mr. Kamal Vachani during a visit of Consul General of Japan, Dubai H.E. Mr Hisashi Michigami, along with Mr Niimi Kintaro, Vice Consul in Consulate General of Japan, Dubai, to the Group’s Supermarket at Murooj Complex in Dubai.
Al Maya, the winner of Superbrand status for 2013, operates more than 40 supermarkets in the UAE and Oman. Plans are afoot to open more supermarkets in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and other emirates, according to Mr. Vachani.
Al Maya Group has been representing a number of Japanese brands, including Ornamin C and Pocari.
Japanese Consul General informed and announced while visiting Al Maya Supermarket that Japanese Food Festival will be held on 19th November 2014 at his residence from 1 pm onwards. Over 20 companies from the city of Hokkaido will be participating in this Food Festival, which was announced by the Consul General of Japan during the visit to Al Maya Supermarket.
H.E. Mr Hisashi Michigami discussed enhancing the business relations through Japanese companies. Mr Kamal Vachani assured that the Group will continue to promote Japanese products through Al Maya Supermarkets.
