Dubai's first LA style blow dry bar

Dubai, September 20, 2014 - Be Bar, Dubai's first and only LA style blow dry bar, is now open on Jumeirah Beach Road in Umm Suqueim, Dubai. 

The blow dry bar concept, which has taken off in the US and is sure to be welcomed by the fashionable women of Dubai, is based on a simple premise: specialize in a limited number of styling services and do them exceptionally well.  Be Bar is the uniquely hip and fresh creation of American mompreneurs Andrea Lindeyer and Lindsey Fournie. There are no haircuts or colouring services on the menu; styling takes center stage. 

Clients are treated to a luxe wash and soothing mini scalp massage on lie-flat beds in the tranquil shampoo lounge before choosing the look that suits their mood. The menu offers something for everyone, from the seven signature styles – Be Flirty, Be Voluminous, Be Curly, Be Beachy, Be Romantic, Be Sleek, and Be Chic – which represent every day, wearable styles for women on-the-go, to a range of specialty looks and updos for partygoers and special events.  

Andrea, Be Bar’s Creative Director, was trained by and worked alongside José Eber, one of Hollywood’s most iconic hairdressers. She spent years perfecting blowouts worn by some of LA’s most glamorous women. At Be Bar, Andrea has brought together a passionate team of talented stylists and has taught them her techniques for that perfect blow dry.  Andrea’s creative drive perfectly complements Lindsey’s business acumen, honed over a decade of managing multi-million dollar international development projects.  The pair joined forces with a mission to offer the gold standard in the blow dry experience and an aim to boost women’s confidence with the finishing touches that allow their natural beauty to shine. Their motto – Be you. Shine true.    

Andrea explains, “What motivates me as a hairdresser is making women look and feel their best. I love how a woman’s posture and attitude changes as a result of something as simple as having a great hair day. It’s undeniable and universal.”

All seven signature blow dry styles cost AED 150 and include a luxe wash, condition, and soothing mini scalp massage.  A special “Be Sweet” option is available for kids 10 and under.  Be Bar also offers a variety of updos, braids, and extension styling services. Stylists are trained to consult on and address hair health concerns with a range of specialized scalp and hair treatments. Bespoke services are on offer for bridal parties, photo shoots, and other private events.
