Dubai, United Arab Emirates, September 13, 2014: In a move to enhance patient care, Rashid Hospital has launched a gastrointestinal & oncologic surgery outpatient clinic.
The dedicated clinic will provide the most advanced and effective treatments available for benign and cancerous gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr Faisal Badri, Head of General Surgery at Rashid Hospital, said: “The introduction of this dedicated clinic is in line with our policy to provide a multidisciplinary treatment approach so that patients receive holistic care. The clinic will have a team of gastroenterologists, general surgeons, oncologists and onco-surgeons, pathologists and radiologists so that we provide comprehensive care to our patients.”
Dr Mustafa Sabri, Consultant Physician & Gastroenterologist, Digestive Diseases Unit at Rashid Hospital, said: “The out-patient unit will help diagnose, treat of which around 54 cases were diagnosed to be gastrointestinal malignant tumors, including hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumours.
He added that the clinic will take place in Rashid Hospital out-patient department, bi-monthly on Thursdays from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm.
