Aster DM Healthcare opens Medcare Paediatric Speciality Clinic, its 50th medical centre in the GCC

The centre is set to be the first-of-its-kind advanced facility dedicated to paediatrics specialities and sub-specialties

Dubai, June 17, 2014:  Aster DM Healthcare, the leading healthcare conglomerate in the Middle East and India, has launched its 50th medical center in the GCC under its premium healthcare brand – Medcare, in Dubai. The new centre, Medcare Paediatric Speciality Clinic, is a sprawling state-of-the-art facility offering a comprehensive range of specialties and sub-specialties in paediatrics. 

Located in Jumeirah 3, Jumeirah Beach Road, Dubai, the first-of-its-kind paediatric speciality clinic will supplement the Medcare Hospital – Al Safa and will act as a specialized satellite centre to the Hospital.

The new clinic was inaugurated today by His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and General Security in Dubai. The event was also attended by Mr. Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Group CEO of Dubai World, Dr. Azad Moopen, Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, and Mr. Ala Atari, Vice-President of Aster DM Healthcare and CEO of Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centres, among other senior officials of Aster DM Healthcare.

With the aim to provide quality healthcare to every neighbourhood, Aster DM Healthcare is rapidly expanding its operations in the region and beyond. The medical staff at the Medcare Paediatric Specialty Clinic comprises of six full time General Practitioners, ENT Specialist and Dentist and around eight visiting medical sub specialists including Nephrologist, Neurologist, Urologist, Cardiologist, Gastroenterologist, Neonatology specialist and Orthopaedic surgeons. The medical staff also consists of two to four visiting consultants, and other medical support staff and administrative staff.  

The Clinic consists of consultation rooms, primary laboratory and facilities, comfortable waiting areas and a full-fledged information kiosk with multi skilled staff who are trained to deal with all the requirements of the insurance based and general self-paying patients or clientele. The Clinic also has leading visiting consultants from various specialities to offer their skilled services to patients requiring treatment or medical care. 

The Medcare Paediatric Specialty Clinic is connected with Aster Pharmacy to ensure easy availability of medicines. 

The Clinic will have extended working hours and will also be open on Fridays if there is a demand from the patients. The Medcare Paediatric Speciality Clinic is located in a prominent residential area of Jumeirah 3, Jumeirah Beach Road, Dubai and aims to cater to the entire community of Jumeirah and its surrounding areas and the new Dubai areas.
