Strike a Pose and be Deira City Centre's next ‘Style Star'

Special appearance by Arab singer Shatha Hassoun on March 15th             

Dubai, UAE, 9 March 2014 – The search is on for Deira City Centre’s next ‘Style Star’, and budding fashionistas will have a chance to walk in the heels of a celebrity and strike their best pose in front of a professional photographer for the chance to appear in one of Dubai’s hottest lifestyle magazines, and win fashionable gifts worth AED 10,000 in total. The campaign is part of Deira City Centre’s popular ‘Style Star Search’, which takes place over a three-day weekend from Thursday, March 13th – Saturday, March 15th. Bringing an added dose of celebrity style, Arab singer and winner of Star Academy Arab World, Shatha Hassoun, will be making an exclusive appearance to meet with fans on March 15th.

“Deira City Centre has one of the largest and widest selections of high street and urban fashion wear within the community, and our Style Star Search encourages shoppers to come out and express their personal sense of style,” said Marwan Al Zarouni, Senior Manager for Deira City Centre. “Arab singer and fashion-savvy Shatha Hassoun will also be making an exclusive appearance, reaffirming Deira City Centre as one of Dubai’s most popular urban fashion destinations.”

Deira City Centre’s ‘Style Star Search’ is open to everyone, and encourages shoppers to express their personal and unique sense of style.  The event will be hosted in the Metro Link area, where a custom-built photo studio and red carpet will set the stage for the hunt for the most fashionable shopper. A Top 20 list will be selected by a team of fashion experts based on personal expression, individuality and style sense, which will be then posted on Deira City Centre’s social media pages for public vote. The winner with the most votes will be crowned ‘Style Star’ for 2014 on March 31st.

In a grand finale, Shatha Hasson will be making an exclusive appearance at the Metro Link at Deira City Centre, from 6 PM onwards on Saturday March 15th to meet with fans and share some style tips of her own. A popular singer and actress, Shatha has taken the Middle East by storm with her ability to sing in a range of regional dialects including Iraqi, Lebanese, Gulf, Moroccan, and Egyptian.
