Dubai Festival City Mall stages arts performances during Emirates Airline Festival of Literature

Dubai, March 4, 2014 – Many exciting and highly enriching educational and cultural activities are being held at Dubai Festival City Mall to support the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, that is hosted from 4th to 8th March at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. Dubai-based schools and artists are using the mall as their stage to deliver a number of theatrical acts and music performances during the festival to enhance the appeal of Dubai’s premier literature forums.
“Throughout the event, Dubai Festival City Mall is home to the Penguin Fringe, a series of highly anticipated shows in which theatre groups, Dubai-based musicians and ballet performers are putting on inspiring and extremely engaging recitals open for all visitors to experience. This is one of Dubai Festival City’s most popular events which positions us as one of Dubai’s major entertainment and cultural centres,” said Murray Bell, Managing Director, Dubai Festival City.
Finalists from the mall’s annual signature talent show, Kidz Starz, are set to take onto the stage and provide crowds with performances that will bring back memories of the buzz and excitement that Dubai Festival City Mall witnessed during the event last October.
Drumming circle phenomenon, Dubai Drums, will also feature some of their finest talent who will put on unforgettable drumming routines. They are renowned for engaging and interacting with the crowd through song and dance, while giving them a memorable and exceptionally entertaining experience.
Guitarist Stacy Locquiao who is renowned as an extremely talented accoustic guitarist and vocalist will also play a series of popular tunes, live on stage.
“This is only a glimpse of the entertainment that we are presenting during this year’s edition of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature that will bring many world renowned authors to Dubai. Mall-goers will enjoy a thrilling calendar of events filled with some of the most talented entertainers from around the country,” Bell concluded.
