HyperPanda extends its support to the UAE Down's Syndrome Association

‘Leave the Change to Change their Lives' initiative generates over AED 540,000
HyperPanda – part of Azizia Panda United and one of the most reputed and popular Grocery chain in the region, has announced that its support campaign with the UAE Down's Syndrome Association [UAEDSA] has helped in generating AED 540,000 since September 2012.
As part of the support campaign, HyperPanda had unveiled the ‘Leave the Change to Change their Lives' initiative, where customers shopping at the hypermarket are donate by choice the change coins for supporting the UAEDSA programs, thus providing better quality of life and support to those suffering from Down's Syndrome. UAEDSA is a non-profit organization to serve people affected by Down's Syndrome.
Mr. Muwaffaq M. Jamal, CEO, Azizia Panda United, handed over the cheque of AED 540,000 to Sonia Al Hashemi, Chairperson of UAEDSA, marking the success of the noble campaign.
Commenting on the Hyper Panda initiative, Mr. Jamal said: “We are committed to the cause of contributing to the community where we operate. The Leave the Change to Change their Lives initiative is part of our corporate social responsibility, and marks a very important milestone in our journey. We are happy to be working with UAE Down's Syndrome Association to support such a worthy pursuit. We are grateful to all our shoppers and patrons who have generously contributed to this cause.”
In comments on the support campaign, Sonia Al Hashemi said: “We are grateful to HyperPanda and Azizia Panda United Company for their generosity and support. We believe that this support will go a long way in our efforts to provide a better quality of life to those who suffer from Down syndrome.”
Down Syndrome or Down's Syndrome is a chromosomal disorder caused by the presence of all or part of an extra chromosome.
The UAE Down Syndrome Association [UAEDSA] is a group which supports children & their parents and caregivers with the aim to provide a better quality of life as also offer them an opportunity to play their unique role in society.
Azizia Panda United Company is part of the Savola group and operates 156 stores as the largest grocery food retail chain in the region.
