Glamorous round sunglasses take flight at Maui Jim
Last Update: Saturday, November 2, 2013 : 12:08 (+4GMT)
Flitting into stores just in time for the holiday season, Maui Jim takes flight with two glamorous round sunglasses for women that are dressed up with angles that hint of butterfly wings. Having the lightness of air, new Maile (Style #294, AED 1,180 US MSRP) and Nalani (Style #295, AED 1,180 US MSRP) sunglasses offer an oversized aesthetic with slightly upturned corners and sophisticated rounded detailing in which to showcase Maui Jim's exclusive MauiPure™ lenses, the world's clearest non-glass lens material.
Serving up the mystique of Hollywood romance, updated with high-technology, both oversized styles are the epitome of refined elegance.
Maile compliments medium or narrow face shapes with its rounded shape that is slightly elongated along the top and bottom edge. The slender acetate frame is dressed up with aggressive tortoise patterns, duotone colorations, or unique see-through detailing. Maile comes in sleek Gloss Black or aggressive Tokyo Tortoise with Neutral Grey lenses; jazzy Black with Crystal detailing and Maui Rose™ lenses; and sophisticated Dark Tortoise or Tortoise with Ivory with HCL® Bronze lenses. For making a statement at the beach, out for lunch or at an exclusive event, Maile is the perfect fit for an oversized look with an eye size of 60, DBL of 14, temple of 135 and a six-base curvature.
Whether you're going to the store or glamming on the Red Carpet, Nalani portrays a slightly trimmer eye shape for a more oval look. The wider temples provide a stunning, curvy side perspective and show off this luxuriously finished frame in color ways of Gloss Black with Neutral Grey lenses, Tokyo Tortoise with HCL Bronze lenses, Dark Tortoise with Maui Rose lenses, or Tortoise with White & Blue and HCL Bronze lenses. Nalani has an eye size of 61, DBL of 16, temple of 126 and a six-base curvature, resulting in an ultra-comfortable frame that makes taking a walk or cruising along the lakeshore even more beautiful.
While both Maile and Nalani are reminiscent of retro era fashion, these two styles feature Maui Jim's newest and most advanced lenses, MauiPure™. Proprietary and exclusively found in Maui Jim sunglasses, MauiPure is the world's clearest non-glass lens material and has the added benefits of being ultra-light and extremely scratch- and impact-resistant. With the power of MauiPure behind them, Maile and Nalani exude feminine fashion while giving eyes the best defense available against the sun's damaging rays.
All Maui Jim sunglasses feature the company's patented, color-enhancing PolarizedPlus2® lens technology that cuts 100 percent of UV rays and 99.9 percent of glare from above, below and behind each lens. Maui Jim is the only company to use three rare earth elements with its lenses to improve definition and depth perception while allowing you to see true, vivid colors. Both styles feature a MauiGradient™ lens treatment that is darker at the top and gradually gets lighter towards the bottom of the lens for powerful protection with a fashionable look. The benefits of these sunglasses are rounded out by their anti-corrosive spring hinges that slightly stretch when you put them on, but then gently hug your face in comfort.
