Dubai, UAE, 15 March 2023: Dubai Municipality is preparing to launch the Hatta Souq event on 17th March, which is the first of its kind in the region, with the aim of supporting and encouraging Hatta's merchants and small entrepreneurs and displaying their products, strengthening the Souq's position and increasing the attraction of visitors and demand for the area, which contains many natural places and recreational activities. . The event will continue until 24th March, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The Municipality indicated that the event constitutes a supportive step to activate the Hatta Souq and promote its economic and investment prospects by assisting Hatta's investors, merchants, and small entrepreneurs in showcasing their agricultural, commercial, and homemade products that reflect Hatta's rich cultural and historical legacy.
The market also offers enjoyable entertainment and shopping experiences in an area known for its stunning mountain views. The event features a number of entertainment programs such as children’s workshops, commercial platforms for selling food and coffee, traditional costumes, and local products that the Hatta region is famous for, such as honey and dates, in addition to the availability of platforms for marketing and displaying home and craft projects that the residents excel in.
The Hatta Souq event is characterized by the traditional exterior design, which combines the traditional architecture of Hatta with the modern architectural character, as it includes heritage sessions, tents, traditional roofed galleries (Arish) and lighting, which were integrated in a modern way with the heritage surroundings of the region, in line with the nature of the region to display local products and farmers' products.
