Malabar Gold & Diamonds Continues Expansion Spree with 2 new Stores in Express Avenue Mall, Chennai and Hazratganj, Lucknow, India

August 07, 2021: Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one among the largest jewellery retailers globally with a strong retail network of over 260 outlets spread across 10 countries, inaugurated 2 new showrooms in Express Avenue Mall, Chennai and Hazratganj, Lucknow, India. This is part of the brand’s expansion plan to launch 56 stores globally, 40 across India and 16 internationally in the FY21-22 to further boost its retail presence across the country, with an overall investment of USD 220 Million and generation of 5000 new jobs.
The new showroom of Malabar Gold & Diamonds in Chennai is located in Express Avenue Mall, a popular shopping destination, and is the 4th showroom of the brand in the city and 17th in Tamil Nadu. The spacious flagship showroom at Hazratganj is the second Malabar Gold & Diamonds store in Lucknow. It is also the group's 5th store in Uttar Pradesh, bringing the number of showrooms in the northern region to 13.
Both the showrooms were virtually inaugurated by Mr. M.P. Ahammed, Chairman, Malabar Group in the presence of key Malabar Gold & Diamonds dignitaries including Dr. P.A. Ibrahim Haji, Co-Chairman, Malabar Group; Mr. K.P. Abdul Salam, Vice Chairman, Malabar Group; Mr. O Asher, Managing Director, India Operations; Mr. Shamlal Ahammed, Managing Director, International Operations, Mr. C. Mayin Kutty and Mr. K.P. Veeran Kutty, Executive Directors, management team members and well-wishers.
Located at Shahnajaf Road, one of the prime shopping destinations of the city, the chief guest of the event Mr. Brajesh Pathak, Minister of Law and justice, Uttar Pradesh opened the Hazratganj store to customers, after the virtual inauguration.
Spread across an area of 6000 sq ft and 2200 sq. ft respectively, the Hazratganj and Chennai showrooms offer a wonderful jewellery buying experience as well as customer convenience by adhering to global standards with trained staff, personalized services, parking facilities, etc. Both the showrooms exhibit an unparalleled range of bridal, daily wear and lightweight jewellery in gold, diamond and precious stones keeping in mind the sensibilities of the people of the city.
The Hazratganj showroom also displays an exclusive selection of Kundan and Polki collections inspired by the city's exquisite cultural heritage, with an exclusive lounge for bridal jewellery for discerning brides and offering personalized services. The staff is 100% vaccinated and trained to offer a safe and convenient shopping experience to the customers.
