OMEGA Welcomes Swimming Stars

Brand ambassadors Chad Le Clos and Jérémy Desplanches visit OMEGA Showcasing in Tokyo. 

August 03, 2021:  The clocks were ticking, but the pace was altogether slower, when two star athletes from OMEGA’s roster of swimmers took a break from the fast lanes to enjoy a relaxing tour of the brand’s legendary precision.  

South African Chad Le Clos and Swiss swimmer Jérémy Desplanches were celebrity guests at the Official Timekeeper’s showcase of technology in Tokyo. 

The visit was a double celebration for Jérémy Desplanches, as it took place on Swiss National Day and followed his recent bronze medal win in the 200m Individual Medley. 

Asked how it feels to join OMEGA’s roster of swimmers, which includes the legendary Michael Phelps, the Swiss Olympian replied, “I can’t tell you how proud I am. I look at these pictures of all these incredible athletes and I am honoured to be part of that line-up”.

Fellow ambassador Chad Le Clos mirrored the sentiments, describing OMEGA as “a family I have been part of many years” and urged his many fans to “watch out for what happens in Paris”.  

During the visit, Chad Le Clos wore OMEGA’s Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Co-Axial Master Chronometer Chronograph in stainless steel with blue ceramic dial and bezel and blue leather strap.

Jérémy Desplanches wore the Seamaster Professional Diver 300M in stainless steel with polished white ceramic dial and black ceramic bezel. Fixed to the wrist with a Swiss flag-inspired NATO strap in red and white.
