Spectacular Fireworks and IMAGINE show accompanied with unparalleled waterfront creek views and dining on offer at Dubai Festival City Mall to celebrate this year’s National Day
Dubai, UAE, 11 November 2020: With the UAE’s 49th National Day just around the corner, Dubai Festival City Mall will be offering shoppers a way to celebrate in the beautiful Creekside location through dinner in one of its waterside restaurants with some offering seats directly on the bay for the first time ever, accompanied by magical fireworks displays and Arabic-themed dynamic IMAGINE show. Customers must pre-book to secure their spots, with two seating options available, one at 7.00pm-9.15pm with the fireworks at 9.00pm and one at 9.30pm-11.30pm with the fireworks at 11.00pm.
The year, with Dubai Festival City Mall’s aspirations of bringing people of different cultures together reflecting the culture that has been built in the country over the last forty-nine years, the destination wanted to commemorate the occasion in an even more special way. The two fireworks displays will take place with perfect views at the best spots to also see the IMAGINE show. Retailers participating in the celebration include Al Fanar, Chilli’s, Peppermill, Famous Dave’s, Five Guys, Nandos, Semsom, Turkish Village, Joe’s Crab Shack and the Intercontinental Hotel
Due to the exceptional circumstances this year, visitors will be required to pre-book at the restaurants to enjoy the fireworks. Outdoor access to the Festival Bay will be temporarily closed with no access for walk-in diners to ensure social distancing is being maintained and visitors are able to enjoy in a safe environment. For the first time ever, visitors who would like to enjoy the weather will also have the exclusive option of dining on the Festival Bay with restaurants offering a choice of outdoor and indoor seating.
IMAGINE, the much-loved, two-time record-breaking visual and sensory extravaganza at the iconic Festival Bay returned in September this year after a six-month refurbishment period with new musical fountain shows, events and unbelievable laser and projection mapping experience. Free for all visitors, IMAGINE is a truly unforgettable experience that promises to enthrall every time, combining lasers, light, fire and water to tell remarkable, emotive stories. The state-of-the-art show seamlessly fuses technology and art and has earned two Guinness World Records for the largest water screen projection and the largest permanent projection mapping. IMAGINE uses surround sound to deliver a 360-degree story to emotionally connect with audiences and produce a show like never seen before. The multi-sensory, iconic, unmissable show must truly be seen to believed, leaving a long-lasting impression on all that experience it and live the feeling that is IMAGINE.
Speaking ahead of this year’s celebrations, Steven Cleaver, Director, Shopping Centers Dubai, Al-Futtaim Malls said: “Our focus at Dubai Festival City Mall is to deliver daily exceptional experiences for our customers. We’ve always been a destination that stands for celebration, so we truly wanted to mark this occasion and celebrate with our visitors.
