Union Coop Honored by Dubai Chamber for the 8th Consecutive Year

The prestigious CSR Label recognized Union Coop’s efforts in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives for the 8th year in a row
United Arab Emirates, October 08, 2020: Union Coop, the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, has been awarded the Dubai Chamber Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Label for the 8th consecutive year. This is a recognition of the retail pioneer’s distinguished efforts in the field of corporate social responsibility and its commitment to developing responsible practices, its role in supporting vital sectors through participation and organizing community initiatives and environmental – friendly activities.
Following safety practices amidst the global Corona pandemic, this year the ‘Dubai Chamber CSR Label Ceremony H1 2020’ was conducted online.
Representing Union Coop were - Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki - Director of Happiness & Marketing Dept., Mrs. Priya Chopra – Director of Strategy, Innovation & Corporate Development Dept., Mrs. Darin Awida the Deputy Director of Strategy, Innovation & Corporate Development Dept., who received the award from H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of the Dubai Chamber.
On this consistent showing, Dr. Suhail Al Bastaki said: – “Community contribution makes the core of Union Coop’s belief system and winning the Dubai Chamber CSR Label for the 8th consecutive year demonstrates the performance of Union Coop as a National economic entity, which makes effective community contribution with high goals and tangible performance indicators to meet the aspirations of our kind and wise leadership.”
“Union Coop is working hard to become a role model for other organizations in the field of community contributions, and also as a responsible and sustainable institution,” commented Al Bastaki.
The Dubai Chamber CSR Labels are considered the highest level of recognition for the CSR efforts of businesses. Since its launch in 2010, the Dubai Chamber CSR Labels have grown in significance to become the highest level of recognition for the CSR efforts of businesses.
