Al-Futtaim Engineering and Technologies provides Vertical Transportation solutions for Dubai Festival Plaza

Company to provide 46 elevators, escalators and travelators in the upcoming urban community lifestyle mall
Dubai, UAE, November 05, 2019: Al-Futtaim Engineering and Technologies, a multi-disciplinary engineering organization, has announced it has supplied and installed state-of-the-art LM elevators and Hitachi escalators and travelators for the upcoming Festival Plaza Mall.
The Al-Futtaim group company’s Elevator Division supplied over 24 LM Wittur Machine Room Less (MRL) elevators of varying capacities ranging from 2,000kgs to 5,000kgs and 14 Hitachi Escalators and 8 travelators for the project.
Commenting on the project, Murali S, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Engineering & Technologies, said, “We are extremely excited to be part of the upcoming Festival Plaza Mall. Once open, in December, Festival Plaza will cater to a growing community of residents and visitors in the South of Dubai area. We are confident that our solutions will facilitate easy movement within the mall and ensure a pleasant experience for visitors.”
Festival Plaza is estimated to cover 65,300square metres and has been designed to serve as the centre of the upcoming Wasl Gate community and beyond. Festival Plaza will serve as a convenient and community lifestyle mall for some of the most established residential communities in Dubai, including those in Jebel Ali, Al Furjan, Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah and commuters travelling from neighbouring Abu Dhabi. It is also easily accessible from Sheikh Zayed Road and is minutes away from the RTA Energy Metro Station.
