Launched in 1934, two years after the Sydney Harbour Bridge was completed, the Multifort collection shares the structure’s remarkable qualities – a perfect blend of functionality and beauty. A truth that has stood the test of time, as this year Mido celebrates the 85th anniversary of Multifort production, making this one of the longest-produced collections in the history of Swiss watchmaking. 
 
Firmly rooted in tradition yet resolutely turned towards the future, the new Multifort Patrimony embodies Mido's century-old watchmaking expertise. Its magnificent deep blue dial irresistibly catches the eye. Domed and finely sunray satin-finished, it provides a magnificent contrast with the round satin-finished and polished steel case, measuring 40 mm in diameter, and the cognac-coloured leather strap. The pulsimeter scale along the edge measures the heart rate, while the aperture at 6 o’clock displays the date. With its box sapphire crystal protecting the dial and the retro shape of the flat diamond-cut hour and minute hands, the Multifort Patrimony makes several subtle references to the past, while the touches of white Super-LumiNova® on the hands and indexes make it a very modern timepiece.
 
Behind this superb face with its timeless charm, the Multifort Patrimony houses the best of watchmaking innovation. It is fitted with the Caliber 80, a latest-generation automatic movement that provides exceptional accuracy and autonomy, with up to 80 hours of power reserve. This cutting-edge automatic movement, finely decorated with its oscillating weight graced with Geneva stripes and the Mido logo, can be admired through a transparent case back. The natural-look cognac-coloured strap in genuine cow leather complete with pin buckle lends a final vintage touch to this timepiece, which is water-resistant up to a pressure of 5 bars (50 m / 165 ft).
