A Big Weekend in Belgium for UAE Team Emirates

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 19 June 2019:  UAE Team Emirates has announced a five-man line-up for this weekends one-day races in Belgium, including young Belgian hopeful Jasper Philipsen who will make his race debut. 

 

Joining Philipsen at Dwars door het Hageland (21 June), Heylen Vastgoed Heistse Pijl (22 June) and Elfstedenronde (23 June) will be team-mates Rory Sutherland, Oliviero Troia, Cristian Munoz and Roberto Ferrari. 

 

Commenting ahead of the race, Philipsen said: “I have never participated in these three races, but I know the roads well. They are typical Belgian races, with hilly parcours and narrow, technical sections. They will suit the fast finishers and also the riders who go well on this type of terrain. I am really motivated, racing on the roads of Belgium is always special for me and I hope to be in the mix to fight for a good result.”
