New Homologations for Pirelli Tyres

Dubai, UAE, September 16, 2018: The robustness of a BMW X-model, combined with the power of a sports car and the aesthetics of a coupé: this is the second generation of the BMW X4 pre-sented at its premiere at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

The dynamic side lines and coupé-like roof line give the BMW X4 a sporty silhouette. This is additionally reinforced by the wide and athletically flat rear and the narrow full LED combi-nation rear lights. The powerful front with the LED headlights, the wide wheelbase and the beefy wheel arches emphasise the vehicle's X genes.

The high-seat coupé is available in the following model variants:

BMW X4 xDrive20i (184 HP*), rims from 18 to 21 inches,
BMW X4 xDrive 30i (252 hp*), rims from 18 to 21 inches,
BMW X4 M40i (354 HP*), rims from 20 to 21 inches,
BMW X4 xDrive20d (190 hp*), rims from 18 to 21 inches,
BMW X4 xDrive25d (231 hp*), rims from 18 to 21 inches,
BMW X4 xDrive30d (265 hp*), rims from 18 to 21 inches,
BMW X4 M40d (326 HP*), rims from 20 to 21 inches.

At the top of the range are two BMW M Performance models: the straight six-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW M40i generates a maximum output of 354 hp. The BMW M40d is pow-ered by a 326 hp straight six-cylinder diesel engine. Another inline six-cylinder diesel engine mobilizes 265 hp in the 30d.

The BMW Group has just approved the following Pirelli profiles for the BMW X4 as original equipment:

All versions of the Pirelli tyres are tailor-made and adapted to the chassis and characteristics of the BMW X4. These individual versions also correspond to Pirelli's Perfect Fit strategy, according to which the company designs and produces tailor-made tyres for individual vehi-cle models in the premium and prestige segments.
