Abu Dhabi, 5 September 2018: The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has been awarded Investors in People (IIP) accreditation after achieving the standards set by the international people management organisation.
In addition to the main IIP award, DCT Abu Dhabi also achieved Health and Wellbeing Silver Level accreditation in recognition of its Wellness Programme. DCT Abu Dhabi is the first organisation in the Middle East to achieve this accolade, reflecting the Department’s commitment to high performance through best-practice people management.
Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what is required to lead, support and manage people effectively in order to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures implicit to over-performing in any industry. Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best on an international scale.
HE Saif Saeed Ghobash, Undersecretary of DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised by Investors in People as an employer which prioritises and promotes its human capital. In the Department’s unrelenting pursuit of excellence our employees represent our most powerful resource. We are proud to have a workforce which includes more than 60 nationalities working in harmony to deliver our vision; to enhance Abu Dhabi’s reputation and profile on a global scale.”
“And now, with this award, DCT Abu Dhabi is positioned as an employer of choice for potential employees across the world as we work to showcase Abu Dhabi’s unique offerings as a top-tier leisure and cultural destination.”
