“The UAE has always placed a strong emphasis on equipping Emirati women with the knowledge and skills required to further add value to the nation's development. Women empowerment in the UAE began with the establishment of the union, with unlimited support from the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who was a strong supporter of women. Through the introduction of exemplary women empowerment initiatives, the UAE aims to be among the top 25 countries in the world for gender balance by 2021. Women's participation in the UAE workforce today makes up 66 per cent of public sector employees with 30 per cent of them in leadership positions, while 46.6 per cent of women aged 15 and older make up the country's labor force. We, at Dubai FDI, remain proud of our women's accomplishments and are glad to join the rest of the nation in celebrating the 'Emirati Women's Day” which will be held this year under the theme ‘Women on the Course of Zayed'.”
