Statement of Ahmad Bin Shafar, the CEO of Empower on International Volunteers Day

“In observance of International Volunteers Day, as mandated by the United Nations General Assembly, Empower joins the UAE and the whole world in encouraging our employees and the community to take part in this global initiative. The UAE has shown a fine example of volunteerism to the world under the guidance of our nation’s leadership, led by His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Our nation has established systems and policies, and various initiatives for our people, both citizens and residents, to contribute their time, expertise and skills in voluntary work and all other forms of voluntary activities. Empower is CSR Labeled by Dubai Chamber for its CSR and volunteering activities.

Empower provides our employees with opportunities to commit and engage in voluntary work in the community, in line with various initiatives in the country, including our commitment to the national initiative, the Year of Giving 2017.
