Sharjah Art Foundation invites you to Vantage Point Sharjah 5 (VPS5), the fifth iteration of Sharjah Art Foundation’s (SAF) annual initiative, supporting the practice of photography within the GCC. The aim is to foster the development of local and regional photographers and to encourage their engagement with one another as well as the wider cultural communities in the Emirates and the GCC.

This edition will feature photographs centred on the theme of Architecture and Urban Landscape. As in previous years, VPS5 started with an open call, inviting submissions of work responding to the theme. . A large number of applicants, with a variety of professional backgrounds, skill-sets and interests, responded to the call. Vantage Point Sharjah 5 presents a wide-ranging selection of photography that uniquely expands upon the thematic and speaks to the development of a vibrant community.
