SWIFT RECORDS TOP 20 FINISH FOR HOME COMING RACE

Ben Swift finishes 13th, narrowly missing out on a top ten finish at Prudential Ride London

Monday, 31 July 2017, United Arab Emirates: UAE Team Emirates’ Ben Swift was unlucky to miss out on a top 10 place at the Briton’s homecoming race in London, as a bunched sprint finish crossed the line, having been in the saddle for just over four hours. 

The breakaway group of Matteo Trentin (Quick-Step Floors) and Jasper Stuyven (Trek-SEGA Fredo) looked as though they had seen off the sprinters, but a last minute dash from Alexander Kristoff (Team Katusha – Alpecin) handed the Norwegian the victory. 

UAE Team Emirates’ riders continue to compete on the Tour of Pologne (Poland), with Sacha Modolo picking up a stage victory in Sunday’s Stage Two.
