From NY FW to PFW to the streetsihow trends morph from fabric cuts and makeup into nail styes? i've broken down trends into 6 looks with 3 prominent families of color: 80's inspired brights like bubblegum pink, turquoise, and lime green to a subdued array of vanilla shades and classic reds. COLOR: BRIGHT
The trend of multicolored stripes was undeniable, A rainbow array of dresses and two pieces at Adam Selman, Lacoste, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Opening Ceremony, Altuzarra and many others make this trend a go to inspiration for nails.

In addition to multicolored stripes, there was also a ton of deconstructed men’s dress shirts especially at Monsé who’s whole collection was influenced by Wall Street.

You can have fun with this look when doing your nails, choose 4 or 5 different shades from the 80’s revival palette and layer them by using a striping brush to create an all over striping with random order and coloration.

DESIGN: BRIGHT STRIPES
For maximum visual impact I used shades that contrasted each other well. When painting your nails with a striped look, start with the most sheer and light color first. You could also consider leaving some of the stripes “naked” for a negative space effect
