Dubai Film and TV Commission Partners with Dubai Foundation for Women and Children and Reel Cinemas to host film screenings for children

In Support of The Year of Giving 2017 in the UAE

Dubai, UAE; 16 April 2017: In line with its commitment to ‘The Year of Giving’, as declared the by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The Dubai Film and TV Commission (DFTC) launched the first of many initiatives that it’s planning to run throughout the year to contribute to giving back to the community and spreading the good will spirit across the Emirate.

This month, DFTC partnered with Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC), and Reel Cinemas – the dynamic cinema brand under Emaar Entertainment, to host children’s film screenings under the theme ‘A Smile for Every Child’. The initiative aims to offer children an opportunity to experience the joy of watching latest blockbuster movies on the big screen.

Earlier in April, Reel Cinemas – The Dubai Mall hosted a screening of the Disney blockbuster family-favourite ‘Moana’, where 35 women and children relaxed whilst enjoying tasty popcorn and a refreshing drink, courtesy of Reel Cinemas. The screenings of ‘A Smile for Every Child’ will be held every quarter.
