Award Winning Singer Swapna Abraham launches the 1000 Songs in 1000 Days Challenge

HSI Events Management partners with singer in a bid to attempt a world first record 

Dubai. April 5, 2017:  Award winning singer Swapna Abraham today officially launched the 1000 Songs in 1000 Days Challenge running up to EXPO2020. The challenge will begin on April 8, 2017 and run until January 1, 2020 for a total of 1000 days. 

HSI Events Management, a Dubai based company has partnered with Ms. Abraham in her world record attempt to write, compose, produce and publish a song a day for 1000 days. 

Commenting on her musical marathon, Swapna Abraham said, “The UAE is very close to my heart. My parents came to the UAE in 1968, and this country has played a very big role in my life and the life of my family. The 1000 Songs in 1000 Days challenge is my way of thanking this nation, its people and, most importantly, the country’s leadership. I could not have chosen a better way than counting down to EXPO2020 through songs for a thousand days to show my gratitude.” 

Each day, Ms. Abraham will get to the studio, and after turning on a live feed on Facebook to validate her World Record attempt, she will begin writing her song for the day. When that is completed, she will play the song on her keyboard. There will be a rough video recording made, with a date stamp to indicate when the song was written and sung. Once a fortnight, a special guest will be invited to attest to the integrity of the event. The project will be pegged to UAE time.
