Dubai South brings GEMS Education onboard

The Residential District builds on its promise to deliver a thriving community with all amenities including a world-class education institution
Dubai, UAE, September 8, 2016: Dubai South has signed an agreement with Gems Education to build a world-class learning institution at its Residential District. One of the eight key districts that constitute Dubai South, the Residential District is home to the two new exciting and unique projects, The Villages and The Pulse. Billed as the City of You, Dubai South places individual happiness and wellbeing at the heart of development and design.
Ahmed Al Ansari, Acting CEO, Dubai South said: “Embodying the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, our thriving urban communities are centered around happiness and purpose built to offer key solutions to everyday living, giving residents the luxury of time, right to quality education and access to world-class healthcare. Accessibility, pedestrian-friendly layouts, community centres, opens spaces and all necessary amenities within convenient walking distances is what sets apart our unique offerings.

To this end Dubai South has signed a memorandum of understanding with the UK-based University of South Wales (USW), for the establishment of ‘USW Aviation Academy’ – the region’s first-of-its-kind specialist campus facility offering advanced aerospace engineering education at Dubai South. Also the Emirates Flight Training Academy will be based at Dubai South. It is designed to be the most advanced flight training academy in the world, its primary focus will be to attract and train airline cadets from across the globe.
