Al Fahim Group (AFG) has donated 20 boxes to the Emirates Red Crescent through the employee Box Appeal Campaign for the third consecutive year as part of its annual Ramadan CSR programme.
Towards its participation, AFG employees donated various items such as clothes, blankets, tinned food, toys and toiletries, medicine, TV sets, printers and scanners, in small boxes to people that need it most. Employees gathered last Thursday, 21 July to assist Emirates Red Crescent in neatly packaging the items. On Sunday, 24 July, the boxes were handed over to Emirates Red Crescent.
His Excellency (HE) Eissa Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, General Secretary of Private Affairs & The Abdul Jalil Al Fahim Family Endowment, said: “We are committed as a family and organization to supporting the balanced social development of our country. Carrying the humanitarian legacy of our late founder, Abdul Jalil Al Fahim (mercy upon him), forward, is the mission of the family’s endowment. Through our various philanthropic and CSR initiatives, particularly with Emirates Red Crescent, we actively extend a helping hand to the local and international community. In closing, I’d like to take this valuable opportunity to thank the Red Crescent Authority for their numerous humanitarian efforts which help countries worldwide and contribute to cultivating a compassionate society.”
HE Al Fahim also added, “As a socially responsible organization, it is a top priority for us to give back to the society we serve by helping the most deprived and deserving segments and contributing to meeting their basic needs. By ensuring the participation of our employees in our CSR programme, we encourage them to get involved in volunteering work and be part of the culture of giving that is deeply embedded in our business philosophy”.
