Dubai, UAE, July 27, 2016: Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has now added road and mountain biking to the cocktail of sporting and lifestyle activities available at the resort on Spain’s Costa Blanca. While it may be a little too late to use Las Colinas as a base to challenge for a spot in next month’s Rio Olympics, those inspired by the two-wheel action in Brazil will be able get cycling on some quality equipment on their next visit to Las Colinas.
Las Colinas has partnered with local specialists to ensure guests can make use of either Trek 1.1 Alpha road bikes or Trek 3700 mountain bikes during their stays. While the roads and hills surrounding the resort provide ample opportunity for the intrepid, the young or less experienced can enjoy the quiet but lengthy internal road network, or the 3km Las Colinas nature trail.
Cycling isn’t the only Olympic discipline to savour at Las Colinas, which lies just south of Alicante. With road and mountain cycling joining golf, tennis, swimming and sailing, the number of Olympic sports you can try out at Las Colinas is now up to six!
Sport and lifestyle options include:
- Championship golf course which hosts the European Tour each year
- Infinity pool at the Las Colinas Beach Club
- Three tennis courts
- Sailing trips
- International School of Falconry
- Fishing tours
Visitors staying at Las Colinas have a wide range of fully-equipped luxury villa and apartment accommodation options to choose from.
