Strikers Dance Organises Dance Challenge 2016

Dubai-based dance institute brings together the best work produced by faculty, students and dancers across the UAE
Dubai, UAE, July 17, 2016: Strikers Dance, a Dubai-based dance institute recently organised the Strikers Dance Challenge 2016, a dance competition that brought together the best work produced by their students, faculty and dancers across the UAE.
The event was held at the Sheikh Rashid auditorium in Dubai, and was judged by ace Bollywood choreographer and popular reality shows judge, Terrence Lewis.
More than 120 participants from all over the UAE were invited to compete at what was one of the biggest dance competitions in the Emirate. The event showcased more than 40 performances across four categories including, under 13 solo dances and under 13 group dances, and above 13 solo dances and above 13 group dances.
The event truly revealed the talents of these young dancers who entertained the audience and got them up dancing in the aisles by the finale.
Padma Ramachandran, Co-Founder at Strikers Dance, commented: “We feel very fortunate to be able to host such events as it’s a great way of engaging dance artists throughout the UAE as well as providing a platform to present new works of all styles.
“This competition has provided an excellent opportunity for the public to watch and experience the excitement of live dance performances,” she added.
The glittering event was telecasted on JANAM TV and concluded with a prize distribution ceremony where the best performances were awarded huge prize money. The event was sponsored by Arab light, Radio Salaam, Radio ME, WOW 107Fm, YES Events and JANAM TV.
