A ‘Direct Hit' for Acer's First Ever Premiere League Cricket Tournament in Dubai

- 14 teams participated in the Acer Premiere League 2016
- Acer congratulated winning teams, Emax Strikers & Jumbo Vikings
- Shibu Thomas from Emax, Iqbal from DULSCO were awarded Acer Notebooks for their impressive performance on the field
- More than 100 people cheered the teams on from the stands during the event
Dubai, UAE, June 5, 2016: Acer welcomed 14 teams and over 100 supporters to the first ever Acer Premiere League Indoor Cricket Challenge 2016. The Acer Predators went up against 14 other teams comprised of retailers and distributors in the United Arab Emirates. After 6 hours of action cricket, Emax Strikers came out on top holding the first place trophy. Shibu Thomas, Iqbal & Amar were awarded Acer Aspire Notebooks for their impressive performance on the field.
“We are extremely pleased with the success of Acer’s first ever cricket tournament,” said Kiran Borkar, Trade Marketing Manager – Middle East & Africa. “It was great to see all our stakeholders working together and having a good time, enjoying themselves in the friendly competition. The game provided a playing ground for these individuals to work together and build team spirit. After the success of this game, we are definitely looking forward to bringing the league back next year.”
The winning teams, Emax Strikers & Jumbo Vikings away with trophies and medals while best performing players were awarded Acer Notebooks (Aspire V-Nitro, Aspire Switch, and Aspire R13). The 14 teams that participated in the league were Acer Predators, Plug Ins Smashers, Grand Stores Gladiators, Dulsco Warriors, Emax Strikers, Jacky’s Red Warriors, FDC Warriors, DDC Superkings, Al Mazhar Global, Jumbo Vikings, SDG Ultimatix, Equity Thunderbirds, Eros Tigers, and Midcom Mavericks.
The tournament took place on Friday, June 3 at Insportz Club, Al Quoz, Dubai.
